Getting Started

Welcome to the Colorado Elementary Science website and blog!

You will find numerous resources here to support your instruction of elementary science. Our efforts will be guided by the work of Michael P. Klentschy, an educator who has been instrumental in supporting the use of kit-based science programs and science notebooking in many Colorado school districts. His new book, Using Science Notebooks in Elementary Classrooms, provides a fantastic, practical outline of components that can be used to plan and implement instruction.
